Cambridge, NY – Organizers of the 2011 Tour of the Battenkill in Washington County are proud to announce the ‘BattenFall Classic’ non-competitive ride on Sunday, October 10 in Cambridge on the new, 64 mile Tour of the Battenkill Course. The Tour of the Battenkill, held each April in Upstate NY, is now in it’s 7th year and is the largest road cycling race in North America with more than 2000 competitors from more than 40 States and 15 countries in 2010.
More than 2500 racers are expected in 2011. The BattenFall Classic will unveil and tour the revised course scheduled to be utilized during the April 10, 2011 Pro/Am.
Interested participants in the BattenFall Classic may register at www.bikereg.com. Rider numbers, maps/cue sheets, rest stops, and vehicle & mechanical support will be provided for all participants. Online registration is $15 and $40 for families of 3 or more.
Riders may check in at the Railroad Park, adjacent to the Cambridge Hotel on Broad Street, Cambridge, NY beginning at 8:30 AM. The ride departs at 10 AM.
